Players give back to local community at Camping World Bowl "Kids Day" Event

Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech players took part in the "Camping World Bowl Day for Kids" this morning. The event, held at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games in Orlando, matched kids from Orlando's West Lake Community with players from both teams for a morning of interactive video games, bowling and indoor go-kart racing.

The players appeared to enjoy the event as much as their pint sized partners. Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph also relished the opportunity to give back to the community during the holday season. " Anytime you get an opportunity to hang out with some kids and just do some rides with them and go-karts and bowling, it's always a good experience," Rudolph said. "I feel like you can make an impact in a short period of time on them."

The event was a much needed break which had a huge impact on Melanie Barry and her children who were in attendance today. Her family was recently impacted by a house fire tragedy. " We lost everything in a house fire," Barry said. "So this was a blessing to be invited to something like this and we really appreciate it."

Bowl organizers included unlimted games for the players and kids in attendance. The kids also recieved lunch plus bowl and team themed gifts.
