Head Coaches talk about defensive strategies in final press conference before Camping World Bowl gam

Oklahoma State Head Coach Mike Gundy and Virginia Tech Head Coach Justin Fuente met with the media for the final time today before the Camping World Bowl in a press conference at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, FL.

Both coaches were upbeat about the upcoming matchup talking about everything from dinner together to the overall experience of the bowl game. Nonetheless, both coaches steered their comments to focus on their trademark strengths.

Not much emphasis was placed on whether Virginia Tech could derail Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph by the Coach Fuente but Mike Gundy did, however, direct much of his assesment of Virgina Tech to the Bud Foster engineered defense and issues created with trying to damper the success of dual threat Virgina Tech QB Josh Jackson.

" He looks like a completely different player now than earlier in the season," Gundy said. "you have to be able to defend run but you also have to be able to defend play-pass." The press conference, which lasted about 30 minutes, also touched upon the effects of the new rules for early recruiting as well as the events that allowed the team to interact with the local community.

The 2017 Camping World Bowl begins Thursday December 28th at 5:15 p.m. at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL.
