Popular bull rider's life comes to tragic end
In a recent competition accident, Brazilian bull rider Amadeu Campos Silva was killed Sunday when his spur got caught in a rope and pulled him under the bull he was competing on. During the incident the animal stepped on his chest. He was pronounced dead at a hospital according to the Professional Bull Riders touring group.
Campos Silva, 22, was competing at a bull-riding Velocity Tour event at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. The Fresno County coroner's office confirmed Campos Silva's death but has not yet determined the cause.
Campos Silva, an Altair, Brazil native, was inspired by his father, Flavio, who was a former bull rider. Additionally, in the spirit of family first, he was pursuing his dream to support his family.
